Greer Island is a small island in the Atlantic Ocean. In the early 1700s families wanted to seek refuge from Europe and move to a new world they had heard of called America. When they were half way there they hit a bad storm and crashed onto an uncharted Island. After exploring the island they found there was no civilization. With little resources left they decided that it would be best to just stay on the Island, which was named the Island of Greer after a man who had died in the Ship Wreck, Alfred Greer. 20 Families survived the wreck and there lay the 20 founding families.
Fast forward to the year 2023. Greer is fully developed and while it is still uncharted, they have created their own civilization on the Island including jobs, shops, houses, and a group of elders. The Elders meets in secret as they discuss a plan. The island has become so over populated that they need to wipe out the entire Island, but how? They come up with a plan to choose 20 young descendants of the 20 founding families and release a virus to everyone else, killing off everyone but the 20 descendants. The 20 who are chosen will be given the remedy to the deadly disease that will put them to sleep until someone awakes them using a different medicine. The Elders carry out their plan, wiping out the majority of the population. They then spend 6 years rebuilding their island. When they are finished they give those who rebuilt the island awake the 20 people and then give themselves the virus in order to finish the process.
Those 20 decendants awake in the year 2029 to a shiny, new world where they must find their way without the help of anyone but each other. The island was left in such a state that it won't need any rebuilding. There will be love, lust, betrayal, and friendships found and lost along the way. Only here on Greer Island.

JACOB PATOV - 19 - LOGAN LERMAN
Jacob Patov was never the brightest crayon in the box. He was much more concerned with hanging out with friends or playing his newest video game rather than paying attention in school. His senior year this proved to be a problem though. With everything coming down to the wire he managed to pull all of his grades up to at least a D+ except for one- his English grade. He wasn’t sure what to do or how to manage, so he decided it would be best to go ahead and see the teacher after class and ask what he could do to raise his grade, however, he wasn’t expecting the answer he got. After talking for a little while about what his options were, Jacob offered something else to his teacher… something he was a bit more familiar with. Sex. And she took it with a little bit convincing. His grade now up to a B everything seemed to be in order and Jacob sure as hell wasn’t ashamed of what he did. Jacobs hopes that in the new Greer Island his good fortune will continue and he’ll get to keep being the same laid back guy he always was.
BLAKE DOYLE - 22 - TAYLOR LAUTNER
Blake Doyle was always extraordinary. From the moment he was born it became clear that he was special and by the time he was 2 they informed his parents that he has a photographic memory. It was always something that Blake treasured and it certainly didn’t hurt that he got amazing grades in school because of it. It was always a blessing until 2003. His mother was also murdered in the killings of 2003. He watched his mother die right before his eyes. That’s when his blessing became a curse. He remembers every detail of his mothers murder. He was the one who identified who the murderer was. He was the only one who could fully be trusted with identifying who has murdered his mother and two others on the island. By the time he was 13 he took to drinking, just as his father had. The only person who could ever get through to him was his girlfriend, Kate Berg. He tried not to drink around her, but one night he lost control. He wanted her, but she wasn’t interested. Things went to far and he ended up raping her. They haven’t spoken since, nor has she told anyone as far as he knows, but she won’t return his calls. He’s hoping that the new Greer Island will be a way for them to start fresh.
BRODY PETERSON - 21 - NICK JONAS
Brody was known as the funny, caring and lighthearted guy before the rebirth of Greer Island. He was one of the most dependable guys and had a good head on his shoulders. It was only natural that he was well liked and returned those feeling back to people - especially his little sister. Even though family members fought, Brody loved his sister no matter what and being a family guy only contributed more to his social status. However, grief and bitterness struck him when his beloved sister was killed by the virus. Brody was a changed man - no longer loving, kind, and lighthearted. He believed with everything in him that his little sister, who was 16, only one year shy of the age requirement to be chosen for the 20, should have been saved over him. He now resents not only himself, but everyone else on the island. He doesn’t hold any hope in the new Greer Island and expects nothing but pain to come from it.
NICHOLAS LARSSON - 22 - ALEX PETTYFER
Nicholas Larsson made it pretty clear that he was a ladies man from the time he was a young boy. Even in elementary school when all the other boys thought girls had coodies, Nick always had a girl on each arm and a few trailing behind him. As he grew up, none of that changed. With the girls still coming at him full force, he felt pretty unstoppable. That is until he was a senior in high school and a girl told him no for the first time in his life. He wasn’t sure how to react and all of the sudden he felt rage building inside of him. Out of no where he slapped her across the face. He didn’t mean to, but rage took over his body. After that she didn’t hesitate to do what he said. Nick realized that, though he knew it was wrong, that this might not be such a horrible thing. Since then he has hit many girls and his plan has never failed. With the new Greer Island, Nick hopes to continue getting exactly what he wants, just like always.
HEATH LAINE - 21 - JOSH HUTCHERSON
Heath Laine is crazy about girl. He loves all girls no matter what they look like. As long as they put out- he’s interested. He hated how he had to try though. Heath rather a girl just be into him and have that be it. His parents are filthy rich and he got everything he wanted just by waving some money in the persons face, so he figured why not have this same thing work here. He decided to start buy prostitutes. He was 18 when he bought his first and he’s been using them ever since. He loved that they do whatever he wants. He has one in particular that he loves and has used her many times. With the new Greer Island however, he won’t be able to just buy women. He’s hoping that he’ll still be able to use his charm to get all the girls that he wants without too much effort.
